FURNITURE CASE STUDY
Project Description
Sarah's provenance with BDO LLP dates back to 2007 when Sarah was the Senior Account Manager for 3Sphere, the design & build company who were awarded the prestigious £2.2M furniture contract for BDO LLP under 3Sphere’s Sales Director Matthew Ellis in Baker Street, London W1.
In 2013 the merger between BDO LLP with PKF ( UK) LLP was announced. In 2014 Sarah worked closely with the facilities team at BDO LLP and together they produced a tender process. The aim was to provide their UK Satellite offices with office furniture that would have the aesthetic of the workstations in Baker Street, be adaptable and “future proof” whilst ensuring they kept within the budget. The winner was a customised version of the Crossover system from The Senator Group. |
Once the contract was awarded, Sarah, with her attention to detail and enthusiasm, worked thoroughly with the Senator team to ensure the brief & client’s expectations were fulfilled. The result was a product that was extremely flexible to allow desks to be height adjustable and easily reconfigured for future change and churn.
The process of finding the right task chair that would tick all the boxes & be within budget was next on the list. The Neils Diffrient Humanscale World Chair was chosen. Renowned for their mission to produce “simple & automatically adjustable” task seating, the world chair design eliminates the need for traditional mechanisms, instead using the laws of physics and the sitter’s body weight to offer perfect recline for each individual sitter. The Diffrient World chair offers the ultimate user-friendly sitting experience. |
Endeavouring to safeguard that the Guildford office would be offering their personnel the same high standards that they had enjoyed in their London Baker Street office space, Bisley were chosen as the storage supplier on this project. Bisley also made bespoke locker units to give the hot desk users somewhere to keep their personal items.

“Knowing Sarah for so many years gave us 100% confidence that she understood our ethos and requirements. She was always one step ahead and made the process of procurement a pleasurable experience! There were no doubts within the team at BDO LLP that on this first of many projects to refurbish several of the offices in the UK, Spin would deliver a stress free furniture project, on time and on budget. She has that capability of ‘making things happen’ and nothing is ever too much trouble. I can whole heartedly recommend Sarah and Spin as a furniture provider”
